GameZen: Video Game Database & Search Companion App Reviews

After trying several demos of other similar applications, I decided to go with GameZen. Unlike with other applications that require access to the Internet, the beauty of GameZen is that it has a listing of almost all videogames (past, present, and some future releases) stored on your iPhone. Sometimes I go places where I dont have a data connection, but with GameZen, you just view the database stored on the phone, and you can record your games with ease. You have to download updates (for new features & new games being added), but I went by fine without updating to 1.44 for several months (I was using at least two or three patches prior with no issues). Now Im on the latest update/patch, and I couldnt be happier. Best $2.99 I ever spent, and this app has saved my wallet on several occassions when I was in a video game store looking to see if I owned a rare/obscure title or not. :)

Great app for keeping track of your various video game collections for pretty much any console games you can think of. Id give it 5-stars but it has been slow to update its list in 2015 with the list not having been updated since April. A lot of new releases arent on there yet. I hope to see an update soon.

Like the title suggests wont let u install more than one console without paying terrible app

I love fact that I can mark the games I dont own so I dont have to looks to longs lists. It would be nice if: the game lists were updated more often to include any missing games, separate games released in the North America/Europe/Japan/Australia, if pictures were added to the old games, and the ability to add prices would be great too!

This app is amazing, I have been looking for the longest time an app that works this good and failed. I love videogames, order and lists and this app is all 3combined.

I have been looking for an app to help me remember my games when I am shopping and this app is GREAT!!! I have so many and have bought a game and only to find out I already had it. THANKS to the developer for making a GREAT app.

Great app!!! Love it. Greatly priced for the additonal systems. Database is easy and great! Please make a Movies version!!! :) Highly recommend this app. :)

Its great and I love it. But my only complaints are that it doesnt have old handhelds and that there are no box art pics for the older stuff. The box art part would be fine if it let us put in the image ourselves though.

Easy to use, love the online back up! Agree with another user, would love to see a lent feature with name, as many of the family collection is lent out and I dont know where?!

Great app at doing what it does! Just wish I could add a quantity cause I have multiple copies of some games, Gameboy, GBA game would be nice for the next up date, maybe Imports too, example I got Tobal 2 cant add it. I do know the PS1 and Saturn games where heavily imported, so it would be nice to be able to catalog them.

Interface is very basic. Robust, but bland. In this age I think the presentation could be better. Lack of import titles needs to be fixed

This app is very useful to keep track of your video games lists. Great to tag games and keep track of rentals too.

This app does exactly what I hoped it would & then some. Its a great way to keep track of the games I own & the games I want. The links provided for each game are the bonus that put this app @ 5 stars for me. All the info I could ever want on each title is just a few easy clicks away!

I have been searching for an app for quite some time to catalog my videogame collection and to keep track of games that Im interested in purchasing.This app goes above and beyond,great job!!!!

I like this app. For the most part, it works great. There are only a few things I would like to change. First, I wish that I could see a big list of the game artwork so I could see everything I own by the case of the game and not just the name. Adding artwork was confusing. After you get the hang of it, it is easy; however, dont accidentally skip past the splash screen explaining how to do it as it is hard to locate the instructions again. Last but not least, I wish I could also include downloaded games (although probably not a big thing for most people I am sure). In all reality, I am pleased with the app. I actually would give a true rating of 3.5 but I felt 3 stars was too low of a rating.
